MENTAL HEALTH NHS TRUST GAINS TWO STARS

Date:

The South West Yorkshire Mental Health NHS Trust has been awarded two stars, in the performance ratings published by the Healthcare Commission today.

The Trust serves people with mental health problems and learning disabilities in the Wakefield, Calderdale and Kirklees areas. This year’s award improves on last year and reflects the enormous amount of progress made in all parts of the organisation over the last twelve months.

Judith Young, chief executive said, ‘We are delighted that the progress we have made is reflected in our performance rating. This result reflects the hard work and dedication of staff throughout the trust who are committed to providing high quality care to the people who use our services. I would like to thank all our staff for their commitment and dedication to providing modern services that meet individual needs. I would also like to recognise the massive contribution of service users and carers who have helped us in planning and moving services forward, and our partners in health organisation, local authorities and the voluntary sector.’
