Trust thanks long serving NHS staff in South Kirklees

With 494 years of NHS service between them, long serving staff from the South West Yorkshire Mental Health Trust in South Kirklees were today congratulated at a special event.

The long service awards were held at Ward 10, St Luke’s hospital, Huddersfield where staff received certificates and gift vouchers in recognition of their hard work and dedication.

Amongst the staff who receiving awards were; Jackie Stead a community psychiatric nurse (with 27 years service), Val Kirkley, a health care assistant (with 25 years service) and Anne Garside, a primary nurse team leader (with 30 years service).

Trust Chairman Sukhdev Sharma who presented the awards said, "I am very proud of the dedication and commitment of all these staff. Their hard work helps our Trust provide the highest quality of care for people with mental health problems and learning disabilities. I am very privileged to meet and personally thank all these members of staff for their years of long service, to both our Trust and the NHS," says Sukhdev.
