Local people invited to NHS Trust’s AGM

Date:

Local people are invited to the South West Yorkshire Mental Health Trust’s annual general meeting. The meeting is an opportunity to hear the Trust’s news from the last year and plans for the future, including its application to become a Foundation Trust. Foundation Trusts are different type of NHS organisations which are run locally with local people as members.

Chief executive Steven Michael said, "We’d like to extend a warm invite to people from across Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale to come along to our meeting, meet our staff and learn more about our Trust. The AGM is a great opportunity for people to join our Trust as a member, and for new members to find out how they can influence the future of mental health services in the area as we progress to becoming a Foundation Trust."

The AGM will be held at 6:15pm on Thursday 27th September 2007, in the Castle Hill Suite, University of Huddersfield, Queensgate, Huddersfield – in the central services building. Refreshments will be available from 6:00pm. If you would like to come along to the AGM, please contact the Trust on membership@swyt.nhs.uk or 01484 343395.
