Wakefield people invitied to give their views on mental health services for older people

Date:

Local people, carers and those who use older people’s mental health services in Wakefield, are invited to a special engagement event to share their views on plans to improve the service.

Mental health services for older people in Wakefield are run by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust aims to provide high quality services to local people that meet their needs and preferences. To ensure the service continues to do this, the Trust would like to hear the views of those who use them and their carers.

The engagement event will take place on Tuesday 7th June, in the learning and development centre at Fieldhead hospital, Ouchthorpe Lane, Wakefield, from 9.30am – 3.00pm.

The event will give people the opportunity to hear about plans to develop the service and share their views on the care they currently receive and any improvements that could be made.

James Waplington, service manager for older people’s services in Wakefield said, "The people who use our services are the experts in understanding their care needs and can tell us how we can change and improve things. The feedback provided at engagement events is invaluable and I would encourage people to take advantage of this opportunity to help improve local services."

To book a place on the engagement event please contact Greg Bennett on 01924 328631 or to find out further information.
