“The small changes we’ve made to our lifestyle are now just a way of life and it’s opened up new avenues for the both of us. Our advice for anyone unsure about trying the service is – go for it – change your life and you won’t look back.”
Throughout the day guests took part in group discussions, providing feedback on the service and giving ideas for how improvements going forward.
Twané Celliers, specialist dietician and clinical lead for the programme, said “I’m so proud of everyone involved in the programme. Seeing people change their lives and seeing how it empowers them to lead a healthier life really is a privilege. This is a culmination of three years of hard work and I can’t wait to see how people progress in the years to come.
“For me, it’s not just about the weight loss and health benefits. That’s just one aspect of the project. Losing weight gives people the confidence and self-belief they need to succeed in all other aspects of life.”
