Health integration team

Recent changes mean that people arriving to live in Barnsley from overseas are no longer automatically picked up by our health integration team (HIT).

This is because Flag 4 data which was previously supplied centrally via the Family Health Service Authority is no longer being sent to local teams. All overseas arrivals now need to be referred to the HIT by the relevant clincians, preferably when they first present to register with a GP Practice.

The HIT aim to facilitate the integration of overseas arrivals into mainstream heralth services and address inequalities in health and wellbeing. Staff provide health and TB screening.
