Information about our services during industrial action in December and January

Junior doctors will be taking part in industrial action on:

• Wednesday 20 December, from 7am to 7am on Saturday 23 December 2023, this is a total of three days.

• Wednesday 3 January, from 7am to 7am on Tuesday 9 January 2024, this is a total of six days.

The care and safety of people who use our services is our highest priority, and it is important that people continue to use our services when they need them.

Some appointments with our services between Wednesday 20 December and Saturday 23 December, and Wednesday 3 January and Tuesday 9 January may be rearranged. You will be contacted directly by your healthcare team if your appointment needs to be changed. If you have not been contacted, please continue to attend as planned.

To help us continue giving high quality safe care to everyone, some of the usual activities our services provide may be limited during this time.

Please use NHS services wisely during industrial action. This will help make sure that care is available to those who need it the most. If you need help, you can still contact 999 in a life-threatening emergency and NHS 111 online for urgent care. Information is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the NHS website, and local pharmacies and GP practices are also available.
