We appoint our new named safeguarding doctor
We’ve appointed Dr Tanay Maiti as the Trust’s named safeguarding doctor.

Dr Maiti is currently working as a specialty doctor within CAMHS, and he comes with vast psychiatric experiences across both child and adolescent and adult mental health services.
He brings extensive expertise in safeguarding, risk assessment, multi-agency partnership working, and clinical leadership, alongside a strong commitment to promoting the welfare and safety of vulnerable children, young people and adults.
As named safeguarding doctor, Dr Maiti will work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to strengthen safeguarding practice, support workforce development, promote organisational learning, and help ensure that the voice, safety and wellbeing of those we serve remain at the heart of care.
Dr Maiti said: “Effective safeguarding depends on strong leadership, professional curiosity and a shared commitment to protecting the most vulnerable. I look forward to working with colleagues across the Trust and partner organisations to strengthen safeguarding practice, support learning, and ensure the welfare and voice of those we serve remain central to all that we do.”
