A standard operating procedure is available on the intranet regarding bins and disposal of face masks.
Not at the moment. The Trust is working closely with all teams to ensure that adequate amounts of masks are distributed.
Check the intranet pages and speak to your line manager as guidance continues to change rapidly. We are trying to keep on top the changes. If in doubt please contact the infection prevention and control team.
The Trust is learning collectively and adapting to rapidly changing guidance. We continue to strive to address any inconsistencies.
Explore why and if necessary, refer the individual to occupational health so that the reason for this can be addressed.
Trust staff are expected to wear face masks in line with the host organisation’s expectations, where that organisation’s guidance is seen to be the same or above that of the Trust.
The Trust does not advise reusing disposable masks. Masks must be changed when visiting the toilet.
Schedule your breaks to ensure social distancing and reduce risk. Ensure that all other principles of infection prevention and control are adhered to and that only 1 person at a time uses small enclosed areas like kitchens.
There should be masks available in staff restaurants.
Ensure that you wash your hands before applying the mask and take the time to fit it correctly; this should reduce the need to frequently touch your face. Taking scheduled breaks will help to ensure that you are hydrated and that your skin does not become sore.
