85% of Trust faxes axed

We’re well on track do remove all of our fax machines by 31 March 2020 in accordance with the national NHS directive to ‘Axe the Fax’. A whopping 85% have now been removed.

Thank you to all the teams that have worked hard to remove their fax machine so far, this is a fantastic effort. Out of 87 we have just 13 left across the Trust.

Following a directive from the secretary of state for health and social care, all fax communications will cease by 31 March 2020. From this date staff will need to communicate all clinical and non-clinical information using secure scanning, email and auditable electronic systems.

All of our fax machines will be removed and disposed of by the deadline.
