Gain an insight into common mental health conditions at education event in Calderdale

Date:

A local NHS Trust is inviting people in Calderdale to a series of free talks offering an insight into common mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety.

The education talks have been organised by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust which provides mental health, learning disability and community services in Calderdale.

This is the second round of ‘insight into’ talks for 2013 which will focus on a number of common mental health conditions including depression and anxiety – offering information about what they are, effects they can have and services people can find helpful. The talks will be led by Dr Sheila Lewis and Mr Richard Kerry – both Consultant Clinical Psychologists in the Trust. Alongside Sheila and Richard, there will be representatives from local psychological services who will be able to provide information on services in the local area.

The events begin with an educational talk, followed by time for questions. The events are free and are open to anybody, so local people are invited to come along with friends, colleagues or family.

The same talk will be held in each of the localities where the Trust provides services and you can come along to whichever date or venue suits you best.
