Valued volunteers praised at Pontefract picnic party

As a thank you to their volunteers for all their hard work and efforts, our Wakefield and 5 Towns Recovery College held a celebration picnic in Pontefract on Friday 14 July.

Volunteers from the recovery college, Live Well Wakefield, befriending service, the library and Fieldhead volunteer lounge came together to receive a certificate of thanks on the day for their volunteering contributions, with some other volunteers receiving special awards for their achievements.

The afternoon saw a picnic lunch on offer, a tombola with prizes, a hook-a-duck with prizes, a guided walk around Pontefract Park, garden games, and the chance for volunteers to meet, socialise and share stories.
