With over 1770 years of NHS service between them, a group of staff working in Barnsley from South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are being recognised for their commitment to their role.
The Trust will recognise each member of staff with a long service award at a ceremony at Normanton Golf Club in Wakefield on Monday 24 November and Tuesday 2 December.
The awards will pay tribute to the contribution of staff and formally recognise their achievements and commitments.
The group of 69 staff – who have all worked for 25 years or more in the NHS – work in a range of community, mental health and learning disability teams across the Barnsley area.
Among the group are three members of staff who have worked for the Trust for 40 years or more.
The group will be presented with certificates and gift vouchers by the Trust’s chief executive, Steven Michael OBE. He said, “This event is a great opportunity for our Trust to thank our long serving staff for their remarkable contribution to the NHS.
“Their hard work and dedication helps to improve the lives of so many people in our local community. I’m delighted to present these awards as a small token of the Trust’s appreciation of the commitment and dedication shown by these members of staff.”
At the events, a total of 135 Trust staff will be receiving their long service awards – who have worked in services across Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield, amassing 3525 years service between them.
