Cards of kindness

Date:

We’ve introduced a new way for the friends and family of those in our care to send messages to loved ones on wards currently under lockdown due to Coronavirus.

People can now send a personalised card of kindness by simply filling in an online form.

Once a message has been received it will be printed out and delivered safely on behalf of friends and family within a couple of days.

It comes during Experience of Care week. People’s experiences of their care might look a little different at the moment with technology taking over to help us stay socially distant. However our values continue to shine through in everything we do.

Kate Ledger, Change Facilitator, said: “We are urging family and friends not to come to our hospital sites and to not meet up with their loved one while they are on ward leave. This is to keep everyone safe at this difficult time. We know how important it is for people to stay in touch with friends and family members in our services and so we have introduced these cards of kindness to spread a little happiness.”
