Our educational courses have been designed in partnership with people who have experience of mental and physical health problems – to offer everyone the chance to learn a new skill, build on your strengths or become an expert in your own self care.

How to enrol
If you find a course that interests you, its easy to enrol—either fill in the form in the Barnsley Recovery College Prospectus and post/email it to us, or contact one of the team if you require more information.
There may be a charge for people in full or part-time work wanting to enrol on W.E.A courses. All other courses, workshops and events are free to attend. You don’t need to be referred to The Exchange, you can just enrol on a course.
Our courses are friendly and welcoming and available to the people of Barnsley, particularly if you have contact with Barnsley mental health services, your family, carer or loved one and also people who work within these services.
Some courses are dependent on a minimum number of people attending. These courses will only run when this minimum number is achieved.
