Coronavirus vaccine
The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine is safe and effective. It gives you the best protection against coronavirus.
Trust staff
The Trust was approved to become a hospital ‘hub’ vaccination site from 11 January 2021 to vaccinate our staff and other local social care staff.
First and second doses of the vaccine were offered to all staff including bank staff and students and doctors on rotation at the Trust.

People in our inpatient wards
Following national guidance, the Trust began by vaccinating those in high-risk groups first including service users on older people’s wards from the beginning of February 2021.
The vaccine will be offered to all eligible inpatients on our wards, which includes those in forensic, learning disability, mental health, neurological rehabilitation and stroke and rehabilitation wards.
As with all vaccinations, this will involve consent and discussions with family members or carers, where appropriate.

COVID-19 vaccinations are free of charge and only available through the NHS. Text messages from the NHS will show as being sent from NHS vaccine and will only link to the NHS.uk website. The NHS will never ask you for your bank account or card details, your PIN or banking password, or ask you to press a button on your keypad.
