If you are worried about your sexual health or just have some questions, talk to your doctor or make an appointment at your local contraception and sexual health clinic. There are a number of clinics across Calderdale and they offer free, confidential advice on contraception and sexual health.

Calderdale emergency contraception scheme

Under this scheme women aged 25 and under can access free, confidential emergency contraception and advice from local pharmacies across Calderdale. Find out which pharmacies are part of this scheme on the Community pharmacy West Yorkshire website (PDF)

There are three types of Emergency Contraception available, two are hormonal contraceptives in pill form (also known as Morning after pill), and a third which is the IUCD (also known as the coil) which work to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex.
