Yorkshire Smokefree can help you quit for good in 2015

We can help you quit, your way – that’s the message from Yorkshire Smokefree to smokers in the Sheffield area thinking of quitting in the New Year.

Yorkshire Smokefree, which is run by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, makes it even easier for smokers to quit for good with a range of free support that smokers can ‘pick and mix’ to suit their lifestyles.

Smoking is the single biggest cause of preventable death in Sheffield. Each year smoking related illnesses result in over 80,000 deaths across the UK.

To encourage people to quit, Yorkshire Smokefree is offering smokers in Sheffield the choice of telephone, face to face and online advice using a new online support programme. Smokers can now access expert support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Claire Holden, Yorkshire Smokefree Sheffield service manager said, “The New Year is a great opportunity to make a resolution and quit smoking for good. We can help you stick to it and our expert advisors have some great tips and advice to help you keep on track.

“We know it’s hard to quit and people often say they need something to keep their hands busy. We’ve got some great ideas to help you with this – just get in touch with one of our friendly, helpful advisors.”

Yorkshire Smokefree’s online support programme also allows quitters to create their own personal plans, set a quit date and chat online with qualified advisors.

The Sheffield Quit Shop, located on Charles Street in the town centre, is in a convenient location and provides face to face support from qualified advisors who have already helped thousands of people across the region to successfully stop smoking.
