Aline Turner, community mental health manager for North Kirklees did her nurse training at the now closed Storthes Hall hospital before moving to work in Dewsbury as a community psychiatric nurse in 1988, where she has worked ever since.
To mark her 25 year’s NHS service, Aline was presented with a long service award by the Alan Davies, director of human resources at South West Yorkshire Mental Health Trust. She also had a retirement celebration with colleagues at Ravensleigh Cottage, Dewsbury.
Aline, who lives in Holmfirth, said, "I’ve enjoyed all my career, especially managing people. I’ll miss the structure of work, the busyness and the people. I’m going to be spending my retirement in Spain, me and my husband are moving to the Costa Blanca in June so I’ve got lots to look forward to!"
