New Year job seekers welcomed the Trust’s second virtual recruitment fair
People seeking a new job role in 2022 were recently attracted to our second virtual recruitment fair.
In partnership with Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Bradford District Care Foundation Trust and numerous external partners, we delivered a highly successful event. The virtual recruitment fair was attended by over 400 delegates.
The covid-safe, virtual event was a perfect platform for people to get a better understanding of the diverse roles available within mental health and learning disabilities. The event also allowed prospective volunteers to hear directly from head of volunteering Jane Milner about opportunities within the Trust. Jane commented: “It was a pleasure to connect with aspiring volunteers at the Trust’s recent virtual recruitment fair. There was a lot of interest in the range of volunteering opportunities we offer at the Trust. It was great to answer queries directly and engage in a meaningful way with the event delegates. The Trust is a great place to work and it is our staff and volunteers who create the wonderful working atmosphere and culture.”
Mark Brooks, interim chief executive of the Trust, also supported the event and commented: “I am so glad that we were able to connect with so many prospective job applicants at the virtual recruitment fair. During the pandemic we continue to face unprecedented staffing challenges as staff are frequently required to self-isolate, at a time when service referral rates have exponentially increased. We welcome the significant volume of interest in roles within the Trust and encourage job seekers to apply for advertised roles.”
Such was the success of the last two recruitment events that we are planning another virtual recruitment event in April 2022. The target audience for this event will be school leavers. As young people make their way into the world of work it is our pleasure to help them secure meaningful and rewarding work.
More information about the next recruitment fair, taking place in April 2022, will be advertised via our social media accounts.
We advertise all Trust roles on the NHS Jobs website. You are also welcome to connect with our recruitment team who will answer your queries and provide general recruitment support.
