Mike Ford is a non-executive director at our Trust and sits on the Board sub-committee. that oversees the work of the Trust’s charities, so Mike is very familiar with the great work EyUp! does.

Overall, they raised over £1,200 and walked 84 miles, starting in Bowness on Solway and finishing in Wallsend.

Spanning 73 miles from coast to coast, Hadrian’s Wall was built to guard the wild north-west frontier of the Roman Empire. Today, remains of forts, towers, turrets and towns can be found along the wall.

Mike Ford commented “The whole of the walk was an amazing experience. I was able to spend some quality time with my son as well as completing a significant challenge. Knowing we were raising funds for a great charity added to the sense of satisfaction.”
